Aura Reading for March!

Prepare yourselves for some enlightenment!

Looks like the March poll went for an aura reading. I've got four appointments booked for WI on March 17th, 2pm, 2:30pm, 3pm, & 3:30pm. I've been trying to get the gal that does the aura readings booked for a bigger time slot and possibly a different day to allow for more to go and I'll post a comment, just as soon as I hear back from her. So look for more info on this blog comment and you should hear more from me, as well.

I'll be looking for volunteers each month to add their comment(s) to the site, based on their event experience. It helps the group know what events were worth re-visiting and which ones to pass up. Please let me know if you have any problems posting.

You can contact me at strawberry100@gmail.com

Thanks!

February 17th 10:00 am - SPA DAY!

This is an awesome event! We've got the opportunity to spend a good part of the day at FRAN BROWN in Layton for a SPA DAY!

Sharon Christensen (group member) works for Fran and is working the details out. She talked to Fran about the group and Fran was so excited she offered to give everyone a certificate for a free European facial to be used anytime in January or February, so that's an extra added bonus for everyone as well! If someone can't make it on our planned day, they could come at their convenience and still get the offer.

Per Sharon: "I checked the books this morning and we are open most of the day. We have a few 1:00 p.m. appts. already, so we could go as early as 9 and as late as 3. The spa closes at 5. If we get a tentative number in the next week or so, I will book out the rooms accordingly. Everyone can get the complimentary facial and add another service if they desired."

Fran Brown's menu is: www.franschool.com/stuff/emenus.htm

Make sure to reply with your interest as soon as possible!

Cooking Demo - Cream Pies

Cary, Meri Ann's husband demonstrated making cream pies...simply fantastic! If you didn't make it, you missed out on some awesome pies! Thanks for coordinating the effort Meri Ann. December is plenty busy and we'll have to try another one down the road, if there is enough interest.

If anyone is in need of the recipe, let me know. It is fabulous!

Thank you!

Margaret Ruth Reading Party

I've had a few requests for a "Margaret Ruth Reading Party", something that has been somewhat of a traditional thing for some of us the last few years. Margaret Ruth does tarot/psychic readings in person and on the radio, 96.3 FM. You can read more about her on her web site, www.margaretruth.com.

She is a member of our group and it would be a lot of fun to get together and have another annual event!

Spa Day

I know you all would be very interested in this offer from Sharon. I included the details from her email to me:

"...we need to get together and figure out a "spa day" for all those who might be interested. I could swing a half price deal for european facials, hot stone therapy or pedicures, so each person would be around $12.00 per service. We have seven treatment rooms and two pedicure thrones, so depending on what services and how many people were interested, we could possibly get everyone in at the same time if we book far enough ahead. Let me know what you think!"
Does that sound awesome or what?! I'll be adding the idea to Dec/Jan polls.

Thanks Sharon!

December Event - Cooking Anyone?

Let me know what all of think about tentatively getting together at my place for a cooking demonstration, Saturday, Dec 9th, 3:00 - 5:00 pm.

We have quite a few in-house chef's in our group! Let me know if you'd like to be a demonstrator for another one down the road.

The Secret

Credit can be given to Annette for this one...recommendation to take the time to watch, The Secret.

It is a ..."movie presentation that reveals The Great Secret of the universe. It has been passed throughout the ages, traveling through centuries... to reach you and humankind. This is The Secret to everything - the secret to unlimited joy, health, money, relationships, love, youth: everything you have ever wanted."
The is the first media piece I've seen that has actually very nicely presents the ideas that some of you may obviously know, but haven't seen anyone make an actual movie out of. You can find the link on the right side of the page.

Great recommendation...thanks Annette.

I have the movie if we all would like to just get together and watch it this month...if you have preferences on the day, I may be able to accommodate and watch it my house.

Jody Brown - Skin Care

I got the opportunity to see Jody Brown for a microdermabrasion at the Rocky Mountain Health Care for Women. She's fabulous and very knowledgable! If any of you have any interest in seeing her, I have plenty of her business cards and I also placed a link on the right side of the page.

...a definite must for yourself to try!

Re: November Ideas

I voted for the crafts class just because I haven't done anything creative in such a long time. I could go for the cooking classes too - might learn something new to take to the plethora of upcoming gatherings.

Once again, my big idea of getting started on holiday shopping early isn't going to happen. Will I really be a Scrooge if I skip it all this year? :)

November Ideas

As October has come and gone and the holidays are upon us, I'm looking for input for November activities and priority. There was quite a bit of interest for a cooking class, but do you have an interest over the holidays with the cooking you may already be doing or do you feel that will be an added bonus to pursue?

Let me know your feedback!

Thanks!
Amy

October is gone!

I'm hoping we can get back on track for November, as I was out of the state for most of October and missed a chance to get together. These are a couple of pics from our hike adventures the end of September...nice photos girls.

Yippee! Autumn is here!

I took a break from the desk and walked outside for a bit. It felt brisk at first, but once I was moving I loved it. The sunflowers are still bright, the air is crisp... It's harvest time! I'm very excited for our hike next week. If you haven't been to the open market on 25th street in Ogden just yet, try to make it in the next couple of Saturdays. You can get all the veggies you want and the prices are reasonable. There are artists of all types out there as well and it's fun to see their work.

Meri Ann - I think the idea of a service project in Nov is great. I'm sure I could clean out the closet and find a few coats, and I may be able to part with a few favorite childhood books. I'm with you, I can't imagine not having books in my house. Veterans day is the first part of November and it might be quite rewarding to remember our service men and women. Any other thoughts?

Happy Autumn!

September Hike it is!

This may be the last month of possible warm temperatures, as you can see, and there was a tie between cooking and hiking.

I'd like to make a suggestion to take advantage of going on a hike. It's highly doubtful that it will be extremely strenuous. ;) The goal is to enjoy the outdoors, still get to chat, and of course, take some pictures of the fall leaves that are changing so quickly.

The hike will be on Wednesday, September 27th at 6:30 pm. I've picked out Burch Creek Trail, which is just above my home and I think you'd really enjoy it. It's about 45 mins there and back, maybe a little longer, depending how far you want to go. We can meet back at my home after for some healthy snacks (veggies, low-fat, low-sugar appetizers, and possibly some wine). If any of you would like to bring a small dish, let me know.

I'm also planning to see the movie, Step-Up, Friday, September 29th, 7:35 pm, at the Newgate Mall in Ogden, if any of you would like to join me! I'll be there at 7:00 pm. If you're planning to go, be there at 7:00. :)

See you at the end of the month!
Amy =:D

P.S. The weather forecast is a dry hike and a wet movie. ;)

Another Idea...

I'm posting Meri Ann's comments on it's own, so you can add yours to it.

Hey Girls! That was fun! I was on a "high" that was great. I felt invincible as I got home and everyone was drab. I didn't take it personal because I was feeling so great! Thanks for your inspiration your honesty and just letting your guard down for a few minutes. I would say it was a success!! My idea for next month is let's dress up in 80's clothes and go have some fun. Someone mentioned Studio 51-where they play 80's music??? I'm happy even just going to dinner and a movie dressed that way-maybe we can find a movie to go along with our theme?

I was thinking ahead into to November - I would like to do some type of service project--does this sound corny? Everyone does something in December but what about before that. There are people who need coats we could gather---for shelters. There is a promo going right now on the radio to bring your used or new books for kids that have only 1 or no books in their home. What an easy task to do and women in numbers are POWERFUL! I can't imagine my kids not having books to read in the home. Anyway, we are all blessed by what I could see--when your blessed you share.

Thanks for a great time - I'm excited to know more of you next time!

Thanks all for coming out!

We had such a great time! There was thoughts expressed as to getting comfortable with people you don't even know, but that quickly changed as we were very intriqued by the different backgrounds everyone had and laughter and fun spread quickly.

There was talk about dressing up with the 80's era for an upcoming event...I'll let Meri Ann blog about that one. She had some fun ideas that others seemed quite interested in.

It was wonderful getting to know another side to each of you, even in meeting some of you for the first time. I'm looking forward to some fun experiences still to be had and so many things each of you might teach and learn from each other.

If anyone is having difficulties trying to post a blog or have questions, you can reach me at
strawberry100@gmail.com.

Cheers...until next time!

No more negative energy

I thought this would be a good place to share this.

I've been thinking a lot about negative energy and they way it affects my home and my health. I listen to Steve Godfrey on Saturday nights on KNRS and he just happened to mention a good ritual for cleansing the energy in your home. Having only been in my home for 5 months now, I haven't felt anything negative, but it hasn't quite felt completely comfortable yet. I'm hoping this will clear out all the energies from the past and really help it feel like home.

I found the method Steve Godfrey mentioned at this site: http://www.quantumangel.com/clear_negative_energy.htm He talked about the Burning Pot method, but if anyone has tried any other methods, please share them. I'll try the burning pot method (safely of course) and let you all know if I notice any changes.

Activity Idea

Yet another idea for an activity: We could go on a hike/scavenger hunt.

We'll go on a hike in teams of 2 or 3 and each team has a list of things to look for. We agree to meet back at a certain spot at a certain time to compare our lists and talk about what we saw. We can also keep a list of things we see that aren't on the scavenger hunt list. Sometimes if you're really paying attention you can see things that your guides or the universe wants you to see. Something as simple as the way sticks are randomly laying on the path, or maybe a certain color of the leaves, can really mean something to a person.

Thanks!

Thanks, Amy, for getting this blog together. We all need more girl time, don't we?

I would love drag my bead collection out so we could all string some necklaces or bracelets. What do you think?

Welcome All!

I've thought about putting this group together for quite some time and now that it seems to have become an 'intuitive' thought from other women I know, as well, hence, "Women's Intuition" has been created.

The purpose is to provide women with a refreshing chance to get away from everyday cares and enjoy a planned opportunity to get together once a month for whatever 'ales' us to keep things light-hearted and helping all of us to become a better person.

I'm hoping that each of you that have been invited to this blog can come up with at least three ideas that you feel would be a fun event for us all to take advantage of. Some examples would be:

  • a movie (thanks MeriAnn)
  • facial/massage
  • lotion making party (thanks, Mo)
  • yoga class
  • attend a learning event
I know you are all very creative and I'd love to see some great 'intuitive' ideas from all of you!

Looking forward to hearing from you!
